Fisher moves to the front at 1/12th Euros

Marc Fisher has taken over the lead of the Pro Stock class in round five of qualifying at the 1/12th Euros. Andy Moore led off the line but the German Corally pilot hunted him down and posted a time quick enough to knock Andy of top spot, one round to go and this could be a real showdown and one to watch. Chris Kerswell holds on to third place by virtue of his round three time while Markus Mobers posted an improved time and is fourth while Keith Robertson continues to improve and moves up to fifth ahead Mark Stiles, Olivier Bultynck Mick Farrell, Tim Altmann and Vesa Yli.

Groundhog Day for Ronald Volker as once again he was on FTD pace only to dump with a lap to go. A visit from Associated stalwart Craig Drescher put an obvious spring in the step of the leading R5 mounted duo. Both Juho Levanen and Olly Jefferies were on for an improvement, but then Olly was collected by a crashing Andy Moore which ended both their runs there and then, Andy now needs a good time in the last round as he currently languishes down in the B final. A good time from Andy Griffiths moves him up to fifth behind Marc Fisher. A whole host of drivers are on the bubble for the back end of the A final which will make the final round of qualifying a nerve racking experience for some, five seconds covers eighth to fifteenth with one more round to go.

Most drivers are saying that the grip of the track is very consistent and the flowing  layout is good to drive, the event is running on time and some good crowds have turned out to watch the qualifying action. One more round of qualifying to go, which we will be reporting on later this evening.
