Olivier Bultynck dominates Mod at Belgian Rd3

Having covered the super stock class at the third round of the Belgian Nationals in Zwevegem, we now have the modified class report. In the EFRA class it was Olivier Bultynck who took the pole in front of Thomas Stockman and Manuel Henriet. In the first final, Olivier took a clean start and the lead with Stockman and Henriet following. Olivier was very fast and Thomas tried to follow but made a mistake that allowed Manuel to take over he chase but Olivier was gone. The battle for second place was hard and fair and saw Manuel also make a mistake. It was Rico Claeys who drove as second for a little while but Nick Joosens came back and took second place away from Rico. But Thomas was fighting back and overtook Nick. Olivier was far in front and took the win in front of Thomas and Nick.

The second final was almost a copy from the first. Olivier Bultynck went away from the start and the rest was battling for the second place. While Olivier was driving fastest lap after fastest lap, Manuel Henriet has taking second place. But Manuel made a mistake and Thomas Stockman came through followed by Nick Joosens. So Olivier took the win with Thomas as second and Nick as third.

In the third final we thought that another driver could take the win but Olivier again went away from the rest. Thomas could follow but he then made a little mistake. So Manuel could begin to attack Thomas, followed by Nick. But this was not the race for Manuel Henriet. In the corner at the end of the straight, the wheelnut came loose and the race was over. Suddenly we saw that Olivier was driving slower and slower. So it was Thomas who came back but Olivier took the third win of the day. Thomas came in as second followed by home driver Rico Claeys. Olivier Bultynck easily secured the overall top spot for Corally in front of Xray driver Thomas Stockman and Nick Joosens, driving for Schumacher, in third.
