Grainger & Bowden win BRCA TC Rd3

Grainger & Bowden win BRCA TC Rd3

The BRCA national touring car championship moved to Aldershot for round three of the series. A full entry of 140 drivers crammed into the rather tight confines of the Hampshire track to see Chris Grainger win the super touring class with his Schumacher MI4 and Johnny Bowden take pro stock honours for Hot Bodies.

In qualifying it was the new TC6 of Olly Jefferies that set the pace and saw Olly take TQ ahead of the Tamiya of Elliott Harper, contact between these top two saw them drop out of contention and this left the door open for Grainger to take the win ahead of Glen Westwood and Chris Kerswell.

In Pro stock the national regulars were kept on their toes by local Aldershot expert Ben Cane, Johnny Bowden took pole for the A final ahead of Ben and it was the Hot Bodies driver that went on to take the overall win ahead of the Schumacher of Ben and the Associated TC5 of Chris Slater. The series now moves to the fast open Halifax track next month.
