Carlisle Radio Model Car Club hosted the final round of the popular Much-More Racing (UK) GP series this weekend with over 60 racers contending for the pro-stock and modified titles over two days of racing. Schumacher driver, Dewi Jones took the pro-stock win for the round. Dewi made his trip north from Wales worthwhile by scoring on his first trip to Carlilse, with Tom Jefferies and Alan Lindsay taking the remaining two podium places. Associated and Much-More Racing driver Tom Jefferies took the overall pro-stock win for the whole GP series after valuable points gained were combined with those from his previous Stonehaven win. Local Schumacher driver John Lindsay’s knowledge of the Carlisle track paid off and he claimed the Carlisle round modified title on Sunday. Going into the Carlisle round, the overall modified title remained up for grabs with several drivers including Tom Jefferies, Dan Rowlands and Keiran Smart all looking for valuable points from the Carlisle round but it was Dan Rowlands who powered his TOP Photon to overall GP series victory in Modified using the Muchmore Fleta 3.0 ESC. A major series modified win for the Photon and 5 drivers using the popular car in the A-main. The series has taken in 3 meetings at Ballymoney in Ireland, Stonehaven in Scotland and Carlisle in England using the Muchmore VQ30 control tyre.
