Japanese Durango importers Tresrey have sent us this report on their team’s performance at last weekends Japanese 1/10th 4wd offroad buggy National Championship that was held at the Yatabe-Arena in Tsukuba city. Their team drivers Kazuki Sasatsu finished 5th and Yuichi Ajishi finished 9th in this tough race event against all other larger Japanese RC manufacturers.

They raced with two team drivers from last year Kazuki Sasatsu and Minoru Utsugi, as well as their new team driver Yuichi Ajishi, a former 1/8 Nitro Buggy National Champ. Also two Tresrey staff joined the team as a mechanic and driver which was the most compact factory team at this race.

Four qualifying rounds took place on Saturday, an extremely hot day. Both Kazuki and Yuichi finished in good positions in the early rounds and they kept those spots until the final round. Kazuki finished 6th and Yuichi finished 9th and they both got their spot in the A-main. Minoru also finished 20th after the qualify rounds finished and made the B-main. So overall, the results after qualifying saw four Kyosho, two Yokomo, two Tamiya and two Team Durangos in the top 10.

Another extremely hot day for the Finals on Sunday. Both Team Durango DEX410 with Tresrey Gainabull body shell showed paced early on and picked up speed through the three rounds of the final with Kazuki Sasatsu finished 5th and Yuichi Ajishi finishing in 9th. Minoru Utsugi also finished 7th in the B-main to take 17th overall.
