Hébert & Trandell take Midwest Grand Slam Rd2

Round 2 of the Midwest Grand Slam was held recently at MSI Raceway in Detroit, Michigan. The schedule called for practice on Friday, three rounds of qualifying on Saturday, with the final round of qualifying and the main events on Sunday. Reedy/Team Associated factory driver Keven Hébert was the class of the field in the 1/12 Modified and TC Modified categories. Keven captured the pole position in 1/12 Modified with his 12R5.1 ahead of teammate Walt Henderson. In TC Modified, Keven again claimed the pole with Henderson set to line up in the third position. Joe Trandell, driving a 10R5, would start from the pole in the World GT class and would do the same in the 1/12 Stock class with his 12R5.1 and would eventually claim victory in both classes. The Modified mains were an all-Hébert affair and he never looked back leading start to finish in both classes. Keven now leads the points standings in both classes heading into round 3.
