KBRL Nitro Series champions crowned

The KBRL nitro series made its final stop at the Fear Farm rc facility in Glendale AZ. Racers from all over the state did battle through 8 championship rounds of racing at various tracks around the state.  Team Losi Racing vehicles stood atop all classes available including expert buggy, intermediate buggy, Intermediate Truggy and electric buggy. In the Intermediate Buggy class it was Brandon Akiyama who shut down the class with a hot streak of 4 straight wins in the last 4 races to secure the overall win. Brandon picks the 8 2.0 buggy as his race weapon of choice along with Dennis Munteen who finished 2nd with his 2.0 as well.

The Intermediate Truggy had Dennis Munteen bettering his buggy finish and taking the overall in Truggy with his 8T 2.0. Danny Levitt joined Dennis on the podium for third with his 8T fitted with the Losi 454 engine.

Electric Buggy was dominated by Danny Levitt, Scott Swaggerty and Gabe Zarate for a Losi 1-2-3.

In the novice division it was  Keith Kittrell, Sabrina Kilday, and Robert Downey Jr for a TLR podium sweep.

The expert buggy class was a great fight to the very end and included some of the worlds fastest racers but it was Team Losi Racing team drivers Casey Peck, Chris Wheeler, and Mike Friery that swept the expert podium. Casey, Chris, and Mike all used the TLR 8 2.0 buggy fueled by Nitrotane to take the top three honors. The tire of choice for the final round was the green kingpin G2.
