Bowie Ginting wins Jakarta Grand Prix series Rd3

The third round of 2011 Jakarta Grand Prix series for 1/10 200mm was held at the JITC Race Track in Jakarta, Indonesia. The weather was perfectly clear all day and in qualifying it was Teddy Syach that took his OS powered Kyosho to the TQ spot with 18 laps @ 5.06. Followed by the series points leader, Bowie Ginting 4,8 seconds back. Dimas Ardian (Kyosho), Sewaka Ramadhani (Xray) and Chandra Yosef (Xray) completed the top 5 position for the main final.

Qualifying result:
1. Teddy Syach – 18 laps @ 5.06
2. Bowie Ginting – 18 laps @ 5.10
3. Dimas Ardian – 17 laps @ 4.58
4. Sewaka Ramadhani – 17 laps @ 5.05
5. Chandra Yosef – 17 laps @ 5.06

In the main final Teddy Syach held his lead at the start of the race while Bowie who had carburetor problems was overtaken by Dimas 2 minutes in. Bowie took back the position on the 4th minute and on 6 minutes, Dimas rolled his car and then flamed out. The gap between Bowie and Teddy was 5 seconds until the 18 minute mark when Bowie took the lead and built up a 3 second gap. The former world finalist pushed his car hard and brought the gap back to only 1 seconds when his OS engine failed, ending his race. Adi Riyadi and Sewaka Ramadhani had an epic battle for 3rd position. By the end, Bowie won the race with 154 laps followed by Dimas, 5 laps back. Adi successfully won the battle and finished 3rd, 10 laps behind Dimas. Ramadhani finished 4th, 7 seconds behind Adi. Long time Indonesian racer, Rachmat Moeis completed the top 5.

2. Dimas Ardian (Kyosho/Novarossi) – 149 laps @ 45.00
3. Adi Riyadi (Xray/Novarossi) – 139 laps @ 45.06
4. Sewaka Ramadhani (Xray/Max) – 139 laps @ 45.13
5. Rachmat Moeis (Kyosho/Sirio) – 135 laps @ 45.12
