Syach wins Rd4 in Indonesia, Ginting takes title

The final round of the 2011 Indonesian 1/10 200mm national championship session 1 was held at the JITC Race Track in Jakarta, Indonesia. The weather was clear at the start but a little rain came down in heat 2 forcing the organizer to re-run the qualifying round. In qualifying it was Teddy Syach that took his OS powered Kyosho to the TQ spot with 18 laps @ 5.15 followed by Fayakhun Andriadi (Kyosho, 18 laps @ 5.16) and Bowie Ginting (Xray, 18 laps @ 5.17). Chandra Yosef (Xray) and Rama Tribudiman (Kyosho) completed the top 5.

Qualifying result:
1. Teddy Syach – 18 laps @ 5.15
2. Fayakhun Andriadi – 18 laps @ 5.16
3. Bowie Ginting – 18 laps @ 5.17
4. Chandra Yosef – 17 laps @ 5.08
5. Rama Tribudiman – 17 laps @ 5.10

In the main final, Bowie Ginting took the early lead from Teddy and both had an epic battle for about 8 minutes. The battle stopped when Bowie was hit by a backmaker, sending his car into the gravel and chunking his rear tyres. Fayakhun took the 2nd spot while Teddy enjoyed a large lead. Bowie fought his way back and took his 2nd place position from Fayakhun and at 22 minutes, Fayakhun retired with a broken conrod promoting Sewaka Ramadhani up to 3rd place. An epic battle followed between Ramadhani, Sani Nugroho and Andhyka Pranusatya for 3rd place. At the end of the race, Teddy Syach cruised the victory followed by Bowie and Ramadhani.

6. Chandra Yosef – 138 laps @ 45.06.139 (Xray/Novarossi/KO Propo/Xceed)
7. Denny Pangestu – 130 laps@ 45.02.361 (Xray/RB/Futaba/Xceed)

With this result, Bowie Ginting was declared the Indonesian 1/10 GP National champion session 1. The Indonesian 1/10 GP 200mm national championship is divided into 2 sessions. Each session will run 4 series with 3 best series count for the standings point. So, it is possible to have two different national champions this year. Sewaka Ramadhani was the Vice national champion and Fayakhun Andriadi took 3rd.
