Nick Joosens wins Belgian TC nationals Rd4

BelgianNationalsRd4

The fourth round of the belgian TC nationals took place at the fast Rucphen De Baanbrekers track in Holland. The fastest guys drove a lap in 14.7 seconds on this track and that is really fast. The Efra boys promised to beat that time and everyone expected Nick Joosens at his home track. Nick and Thomas Stockman were on the hunt for the first win this year and then there was also Olivier Bultynck, who switched from Corally to Yokomo and who looked very strong.

After the qualifying rounds Ollie took the pole from Nick and Thomas. On the fourth spot we found Jonathan Provousq who also changed to a Yokomo with Nicolas Delise in fifth place. In the first final at the end of the straight Nick touched another car and went of the track ending his race but Ollie and Thomas were fighting for the lead. At the end it was Ollie who took the win with Thomas in second place. Nicolas Delise and Jonathan Prouvosq had a good fight for third place with the better end for young Nicolas.

Nick Joosens started the second final with a fresh pair of tires allowing him to attack hard and at the end of the straight he managed to overtake Olivier. Ollie tried to follow Nick but the race leader was on a mission and took the win. Ollie came in second and followed by Thomas. Meanwhile Geoffrey Vekemans took fourth place in front of Jonathan Prouvosq.

Now the third final would decide everything and we saw a battle between Ollie and Nick. Nick was faster but couldn’t find a gap for a pass. But then Ollie made a small error allowing Nick to pass and to take the win. Ollie came in second followed by Thomas who took third in front of Gregory Werniers and Cedric Gils. At the end this meant Nick Joosens (Yokomo) became overall winner with Olivier Bultynck (Yokomo) in second place and Thomas Stockman (Xray) in third place.

Thanks to Krist Bultynck for sending the report.
