JR Mitch & Felix Law win FL SC King Series Rd1

The Florida Short Course King Series is one of the better known series for the Short Course Truck racer. This series was started 2 years ago by a racer name Chad Cason who was able to bring new tracks/club into the series to make Short Course racing more interesting. By adding money on top of the grand prize makes this an event racers would not want to miss. The first round of the SCK series kicked off at New Red Hobbies in Ocala and there was a total of 86 entries for the first round of the Short Course King Series.

In stock 17.5 SC, The TQ Austin Venezia won the main using a Losi XXXSCT with all JConcepts body, wheel & tires. In the beginning of the race, he fell back back to 3rd, but was able to battle his way back to the front to take to victory in the end.

In Super Stock 13.5, The TQ Mike Applegate hds to battle with Trinity’s power man, Billy Bruce. With the amazing fast Revtech Motor, Billy’s truck almost wanted to eat Applegate’s SC10 alive in the straight. Billy & Applegate switch position 3 times during the race, in the 4 min mark Applegate was able to take advantage of Billy’s mistake & stretch his lead to win the race.

In Mod SC, The Factory Associated/ JConcepts Driver JR Mitch was able take the TQ with 1 lap over 2nd place. In the main, he was untouchable, every lap was just about perfect. By the 5 minute mark he was able to almost lap the field. JR Mitch was using the new JConcepts 3mm wider offset wheels, he said those wheel was able to make the truck more stable & easier to drive.

In 4wd Mod SC, Felix Law was able use his Losi SCT E take the TQ with 2 Lap over 2nd. His SCT E had a 20.4sec lap, the fastest lap of the day. Without any trouble, he was able win the main. His new JConcepts X Flow Raptor was able to keep his truck flying over the triple without any issue.
