Jared Tebo wins big at Reedy Truck ROC

The 2011 Reedy Truck Race of Champions was held October 7th-9th at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, California. The last Reedy Truck Race was held in 2009 where Team Orion’s Jared Tebo Won both the Modified Truck and Pro Truggy Classes. This years Reedy Truck Race would be back in a big way topping over 170 entries! The weather was picture perfect all weekend long staying consistently in the lower 80’s. In the Modified Truck Class it was Team Orion’s Jared Tebo who would dominate qualifying to take the Overall TQ. Also in the A-Main for Team Orion was: Dakotah Phend starting 3rd, Ryan Cavalieri starting 4th, and Dustin Evans starting 5th, Mike Truhe starting 6th, Shaun Dunlap starting 7th, Zack Rogers starting 8th, and Matt Castellano starting 10th.

Tebo went on to lead every lap in both A-Main #1 and A-Main #2 to take home his 2nd Championship of the weekend making it a clean sweep in both classes he entered. Also, an interesting fact…this would be Tebo’s 5th consecutive Modified Truck Championship at the Reedy Truck Race of Champions!

In the Pro 2 Modified Short Course Class it was Team Associated’s Ryan Maifield taking the overall TQ, just edging out Team Orion’s Jared Tebo. Also in the A-Main for Team Orion was: Dakotah Phend starting 3rd, Dustin Evans starting 4th, and Ryan Cavalieri starting 5th.

After finishing 3rd place in A-Main #1, Jared Tebo went on to convincingly Win A-Mains #2 and #3 with his Team Orion powered Kyosho SC-R to take home the Reedy Truck Race of Champions first ever Pro 2 Modified Short Course Championship!

Team Orion would also like to congratulate Ryan Cavalieri for TQ’ing the highly contested Pro 4×4 Modified Short Course Class with the debut of Team Orion’s new Vortex VST SC550 4.0 BL Motor. Dakotah Phend went on to Win A-Main #3 also with Team Orion’s new Vortex VST SC550 4.5 BL Motor in this class to finish 2nd overall with Cavalieri rounding out the podium in 3rd overall!
