Jefferies clean sweep at European Pan Series Rd2

Round two of the European Pan Series visited Ardent Raceway in the UK. The entry was a little down on numbers possibly due to the pre Christmas date, but a strong field of top UK 1:12 drivers turned out including multiple World and European champion Dave Spashett, former European stock 1:12 champion Chris Kerswell and current UK national front runner Olly Jefferies. Nine heats covered F1, World GT, 1:12 and Mardave. In 1:12 it was Olly Jefferies who took TQ in both the stock and modified class, F1 TQ man was Mark Burgess and in the World GT class it was John Dawson setting the pace with his Xray.

The first leg of the A finals went the way of the pole men and saw wins for Burgess, Dawson and Jefferies, Olly taking leg one of both stock and modified A leg one finals with his 12R5.1. Leg two saw wins for Olly Jefferies in both stock and modified but the highlight of the leg two modified A final was the battle between David Spashett and Zak Smith, the young Associated driver coming off best to take second behind Jefferies. With two wins in both classes Olly’s days work was effectively done with the overall wins in both stock and modified.

John Dawson took leg two and three of the GT class to seal his win in the class, he then switched cars to take the win in leg two and three of F1 race, After Olly Jefferies made it a clean sweep of stock A finals David Spashett spoiled the party for Olly taking the final leg of the modified A. John Dawson won the final and decisive leg of the F1 A final to take the class. Alex Thurston and Mike Luxton won the Mardave
