Cortez & Gaio win Madeira regionals Rd3

The third round of the Madeira Island nitro and electric on-road regionals was held at the Cancela track. In the 200mm 1/10 scale nitro class Luis Cortez (Mugen Seiki/Novarossi) took TQ with former national champion Luis Angelo (Serpent/Novarossi) in third and André Gonçalves (Mugen Seiki/Novarossi) in third place. Luis was able to open a gap within the first 10 minutes of the race that he was able to keep until the end of the main final securing him the win with Luis Miguel Angelo in second and Paulo Rodrigues (Xray/Novarossi) in third place.

In the electric touring class it was multi-times regional champion João Gaio (Xray) who on the race taking all three A finals with electric debutant Paul Miguel Rodrigues (Xray) being in the runner-up spot. The third place went to Nuno Lourenco also driving an Xray. The next round of the regionals will take place this weekend, again at the Cancela track.
