TLR 22SCT Short Course truck kit

Possibly the most hotly anticipated release from Team Losi Racing since their revolutionary 22 buggy, the 22 SCT has been developed by racers for racers and is set to bring new levels of performance to the popular 2WD SCT class. Sharing the same design philosophy as the TLR 22 Racing Buggy and TLR22T Stadium Truck before it, the 22 SCT is the world’s first Short Course Truck that can be built with either as a traditional 3-gear rear motor transmission or as a 4-gear mid motor transmission thus endowing it with true Global race appeal. From the dust and clay built tracks that typify the USA homelands, Australia and warm climates to the high-bite Astroturf and carpet venues that characterize much of Northern Europe, the TLR 22 SCT can be built to handle whichever way is fastest on whatever track surface is being raced on.

The 22 platform has already won many global fans for it’s famed robustness and durability and the SCT builds further upon this legendary trait with 4mm turnbuckles and Heavy duty Ball Cups, Alloy Bleeder Shock Caps and revised Slipper Clutch Plates and Tungsten Carbide diff and thrust balls in the transmission. The striking TLR Max-Flow SCT bodyshell is included to minimize parachuting and maximize the aerodynamic gains needed by a true performance race truck. This, coupled with the chassis’ inherent low polar mass and centralized weight distribution further aids the 22SCT’s on track performance giving it a razor sharp response and rapid directional change capability giving you the ability to carve a line where all around you helplessly scrabble and wallow in self pity. To further cope with the harsher and wet climes characterized in many regions, the 22 SCT can be further protected by means of the optional close-fitting chassis undertray that will ensure that all of the sensitive electronics are protected and kept as clean and dry as possible.

The now familiar 12mm TLR Big Bore shock bodies have been tuned in length to provide the optimum travel and response to keep the 22 SCT in control and on course to the podium and the steering geometry has again been tuned and fettled by the TLR race engineers to optimize feel and precision specifically in this SCT configuration courtesy of the new 4mm trailing axle spindles.

The TLR 22 SCT is designed to share the same wheel on both the front and rear axles which makes life a little easier in pit-lane and the newly designed wheels, running on 12mm hex drives, come configurable with either a bolt on beadlock style rim or with a racing solid disk. Yellow wheels are included as standard in the kit (2 complete sets) leaving you the choice to select whichever 2.2/3.0in SCT tyres you need for your local tracks and surfaces.
