Martin Christensen wins Danish champs Rd5
The fifth and final round of the Danish nitro on-road champs took place at the famous track of Odense. Claus Ryeskov already secured the championship by winning the previous four rounds. After the qualifying rounds it was once again Claus Ryeskov taking TQ ahead of Micheal Johnson and Thomas Mortensen. Martin Christensen was attending the final round for the first time in many years, setting very fast lap times in qualifying but he had a bit of bad luck in the qualifiers and would have to start from fourth position.
On the tone Claus got a clean start into the final with Micheal Johnsen and Thomas Mortensen right behind. Martin Christensen was off to a flying start until on the second lap but ended in the grass after one of his rare mistakes. On the fifth lap, Thomas capitalized on a mistake from Michael and moved into second, chasing after Claus and the first position. Once he caught up a lack of patience saw him force an overtaking manoeuvre where there was no room and the resulting crash saw Thomas ending up on the grass in need of assistance from his mechanic. As all the action was up the front, Martin Christensen was driving super fast and aggressive making up for his early mistake and quickly moved into first position, from here he drove a controlled race all the way to the finish line, with Claus Ryeskov in second. Third, fourth and fifth place was fought all the way to the line as only two seconds separated the three drivers with Michael Johnsen in third, Rasmus B Nielsen in fourth and Thomas Mortensen in fifth position.

With Claus Ryeskov already secured himself the DMSU and DASU championship the other final positions went to Rasmus B. Nielsen and Michael Johnsen in the DMSU class and to Michael Johnsen and Martin NO Hansen in the DASU class.
