British Indoor Winter Series Round 3

The third round of the British Indoor Winter series saw Xray UK team driver James Hart setting the fastest time in all three rounds of the Open class qualifying. In second place on the grid for the finals was HB team driver Stefan Chodzynski, third and fourth were Xray drivers Chris Neff and Alex Brocklebank, rounding out the top five was Associated team driver Ben Putt. The 13.5 class saw some very close qualifying with another Xray team driver, Zak Finlay, on pole position and like the Open class it was HB driver Dean Gibbs in second place. Schumacher driver Darren Lee came third, fourth on the grid was HB driver James Baker and rounding out the top 5 was TOP driver Chris Holmes. In the 17.5 Class it was Lee Stokes who dominated qualifying setting the fastest time in round one and three putting him in pole position for the finals. Second on the grid was Martyn Peachey having posted consistent runs, and rounding out the top in qualifying it was Richard Boult.


The Open class saw some very close racing in the finals but at the end of the it was again James Hart who came out on top posting the fastest final time, HB team driver Stefan Chodzynski was second with another Xray driver Alex Brocklebank third. This result means the Open Class as now been wrapped up with two round still to go. Like the Open class the 13.5T drivers had two finals and at the end of the two Xray driver Zak Finlay set the fastest final time with James Baker, who had been fast all day, taking the runner-up spot. In third place Xray driver Nathan Winyard who also was a little down in qualifying but had a fast car in the finals. The 17.5T class saw Richard Boult taking the overall win with Lee Stokes in second and Martyn Peachey in third place.
