Phend & Lutz win at 2013 ROAR electric nationals

This past weekend the 2013 ROAR electric 1/8th Off-Road and Short Course nationals took place in Oakland Mills, Pennsylvania at the LCRC Raceway. In the 1/8th E-Buggy class Team Losi Racing’s Dakotah Phend took TQ with the new TLR 8ight 3.0 buggy and he also brought home the win after taking A-main number two and three. Leg one winner Ryan Lutz (Team Durango) took the runner-up spot with Austin Blair completing the podium.

The 1/8th Truggy had Ryan Lutz taking TQ with his DEX408T truck in front of Dakotah Phend and once the finals started Ryan made his intention clear by winning A-main one and two in style handing him the national title. After a third place in the first leg and a second place finish in the second main Dakotah Phend finally brought home a win in the third A-main handing him the overall second spot on the podium. Just like in the Buggy class Austin Blair completed the podium in third spot.

In Pro4 Short Course it was again Dakotah Phend who took TQ with his TLR SCTE 2.0 in front of Ryan Lutz and Austin Blair. The three man again battled it out in the finals as they did in the Buggy and Truggy class and when the dust settled Dakotah brought home his second national title this weekend followed by Ryan and Austin.
