RCProf Speedpassion Challenge Rd2 – Report

The 2nd round of the RCProf Speedpassion Challenge was held in Budapest on an indoor carpet track. Beside several other classes including electric buggy also a touring car modified and 13.5T race was held. Qualifying for the touring cars proved to be difficult due to the track conditions as the buggy tyres made for tricky grip conditions. In the Stock class János Birinyi, coming from second on the grid, was able to take the lead in A1 and A2 bringing home an early win for Xray. Viktor Kiss and Tamás Ponghó completed the podium for a 1-2-3 for the Slovakian manufacturer.

In the Modified class Zsolt Kálnay took TQ and easily won A1 as his strongest competitor broke his car in the first leg. Come A-final 2 Zsolt again looked like the winner but Barnabás Tóth overtook him right on the finish line handing the Yokomo driver a very close win in A2. In the decisive final Zsolt again had bad luck and only finished second after collisions with other drivers on the track. At the end Barnabás took the win in front of Zsolt Kálnay and Zsolt Bajusz.
