Mibosport Cup 2013/14 Rd3 – Report
The third round of the Mibosport Cup 2013/14 was held in Hrotovice last weekend. In the Touring Car Modified class, even with a little mistake in the first qualifying, Zdenko Kunák took the TQ ahead of Kuba Šimurda and David Nemček. Jaroslav Kopecký and Tomáš Marek completed the top 5. With a comfortable pace, Zdenko Kunák won the first A-final, making his way to the overall victory. The second A-final was better balanced – only a second separated Zdenko Kunák and Kuba Šimurda. With this tight win, Zdenko Kunák (Yokomo) secured the overall first place. The third A-final was won Kuba Šimurda (Xray) which meant second place overall with David Nemček (Xray) completing the podium.
In the Stock LRP class David Nemček (Xray) was unbeatable. He dominated the qualifying and took the TQ ahead of Michal Vítámvás and Polish driver Wojciech Rozwadowski. David then went on to win all three A-finals, Michal Vítámvás (Xray) finished in second place with Pavel Martinec (Xray) completing the podium. Wojciech Rozwadowski did not finish the first two finals, and even when he came in in 5th in the third final, it was good enough only for 9th place overall.
Like the other classes, the Yokomo GT category had a dominant driver. It was Ladislav Mlčák who took the TQ ahead of Markéta Vítámvásová and Igor Vlahovič. Mlčák won all three finals right ahead of Markéta Vítámvásová who announced her intention to move up to the Stock LRP class. Igor Vlahovič finished in third place overall.
Martin Szunyogh from Austria won the Formula class ahead of Antonín Pospíchal and Miloš Saturka who completed the podium.
In the 2WD Buggy class Aleš Bayer gained the TQ in front of Roman Pudich who was very successful on the difficult track. Martin Zvára finished third in qualifying. In the first A-final Aleš Bayer was leading but he made a mistake, which cost him the win. The victory then was taken by Roman Pudich. The second A-final was a very balanced affair between Aleš Bayer and Roman Pudich, who were fighting for the win. In the end, the lucky winner was Roman Pudich (PR) who also took the overall win. Aleš Bayer (Xray) finished second. As Roman left out the third final Aleš Bayer took a clean win taking the overall second place. Martin Zvára (Yokomo) finished second with Dominik Mašek behind.
Aleš Bayer (Xray) also took the TQ in the 4WD Buggy class, this time ahead of Kuba Šimurda and David Kukla. He then won all three finals and secured the first place overall. In the first A-final, Zdenko Kunák finished second ahead of Kuba Šimurda. Kunák had to retire in the second A-final, so the second place went to Kuba Šimurda. Ludvík Kurečka finished third. Kuba Šimurda (Xray) finished second again in the third A-final which meant the overall second place for him. Zdenko Kunák (Yokomo) completed the podium.
The Best Junior award went to Matěj Benda. Roman Pudich was awarded with the Spirit of the Race prize and Jiří Rybák was awarded with a special award 18+ from Masters.cz.
