Olly Jefferies wins Autosport International race

For the second year in succession Olly Jefferies took victory in the prestigious Autosport International race, last year the race was for GT10 cars running a Reedy Race format, this year the race was once again run in Reedy Race format but for touring cars, It was a dream start for Jefferies in what was his first touring car race for his new team Xray. The event takes place at the prestigious Autosport Show at the NEC near Birmingham, widely regarded as one the biggest motor sport shows in the world and the drivers race in front of large crowds over two days, the event is seen as shop window by the BRCA to promote RC racing to a knowledgeable crowd, as the theme of the show is the BTCC all drivers swapped their normal colour schemes for replicas of the full size 2012 BTCC grid

From the off the race looked to be dominated by Jefferies and David Spashett, but as David made some small early errors Jefferies took advantage scoring win after win, he went on to win all his eleven races. Making a return to touring cars was Yokomo driver Mark Stiles and he finished second with a fast Sam Clifton third for Schumacher.

Other drivers worth a well-earned mention was Kia Granger who scored his best result at this level of racing with a very credible sixth place for Schumacher, another driver performing well for Schumacher was Chris Gunter who finished one place ahead for Kai Grainger, in first touring race in over a year Tom Jefferies completed the top ten for Xray

At the end of the event the top ten drivers had a shoot out which was run for the top ten, after a superb drive victory went to Andy Murray.
