Mibosport Cup 2013/14 Rd5 – Report

After a break of more than a month the Mibosport Cup 2013/14 resumed with round number 5 last weekend. A total of 118 drivers signed up for the event with 66 attending in the on-road and 52 in the off-road classes. The event marked the penultimate race of the season before the big finale in March, with international frontrunner Ronald Volker attending. In the Touring Car Modified class Marek Černý took the TQ some three seconds ahead of Michal Orlowski and Kuba Šimurda. In the first A-final, Marek Černý had to fight hard with Michal Orlowski for the win, just to finish 0.061 seconds ahead of him. Kuba Šimurda finished third. The second A-final was quite similar to the first one with Černý and Orlowski fighting for the win. Černý won again ahead of Michal Orlowski and Kuba Šimurda. In the third A-final, Orlowski had a contact with Černý and both of them ended at the lower end of the pack. The winner of this final was Kuba Šimurda with Zdenko Kunák and Patrick Gollner behind. The overall win went to Marek Černý, second was Michal Orlowski with Kuba Šimurda completing the podium.

In the Stock LRP class David Nemček took the TQ with almost two seconds from Jaroslav Kopecký and Michal Vítámvás. In the first A-final, David Nemček was controlling his gap and proofed to be unbeatable. The second place went to Jaroslav Kopecký with Michal Vítámvás behind. In the second A-final, David Nemček, the dominant driver, easily won again, handing him the overall win with one leg to go. The second place went to Jaroslav Kopecký with Vincenz Schrank coming in third. David Nemček the opted to sit out the final A-main and therefore the victory went to Jaroslav Kopecký who obtained the second place overall. Second place went to Pavel Martinec ahead of Michal Vítámvás who finished third overall.

Only 5 drivers attended the qualifying of the Yokomo GT class. The qualifying was won by Thomas Landegger but his car did not comply with the technical regulations of the class so he raced out just for fun and without getting any points for the championship. The actual winner of the qualifying was Ladislav Mlčák. Ladislav also won all of the three finals always ahead of Jirka Toman, Tomáš Kristek and Zdeněk Ajmut which then also gave the overall result.

The TQ of the Formula class went to Herbert Weber, who was the only driver to make 21 laps with a time of 5:11.359. The final then could only be an Austrian thing but Mateusz Ogonowski made it to the second position on the grid. With a comfortable pace, the first A-final was won by Herbert Weber ahead of Thomas Landegger and Mateusz Ogonowski . Herbert Weber then also won the second A-final and obtained the overall first place in the Formula class. The second place went to Mateusz Ogonowski, while Roland Bauer finished third. The third A-final went to Mateusz Ogonowski with Roland Bauer and Thomas Bauer behind but Herbert Weber took the overall win with Mateusz Ogonowski and Roland Bauer behind.

The 2WD Buggy qualifying was won by Michal Orlowski, who was the only driver to make 16 laps with a time of 5:19.248, the second place on the grid went to Aleš Bayer who went on to win the first A-final with a gap of 7 seconds ahead of Michal Orlowski and Radek Flek. In the second A-final, Aleš Bayer had to face the pressure of Radek Flek but he was controlling his rival behind him and also won the second final. The second place went to Radek Flek followed by Andreas Janda. As he already secured the overall win Aleš Bayer did not attend the third final that then was won by Michal Orlowski ahead of Marcel Rekettye and Roman Pudich. Behind Aleš, Michal Orlowski and Radek Flek finished second and third overall.

Mibosport Cup 2013/14 Rd5 – Report

In the 4WD Buggy class Aleš Bayer won the qualifying and took the TQ ahead of Martin Zvára. The first A-final had Aleš Bayer taking the win ahead of Kuba Šimurda and Martin Zvára. The second final again was an Aleš Bayer show, Kuba Wawrzkiewicz and Erik Margony finished second and third while Martin Zvára did not attend the second leg. The third A-final then went to Kuba Wawrzkiewicz with Martin Zvára and Wojciech Rzepecki behind as Aleš opted to sit out the final. Aleš Bayer took the overall victory with Kuba Wawrzkiewicz and Martin Zvára completing the podium.
