Kerswell & Clinch win at BRCA Clubman’s series Rd4
Round 4 of the BRCA Clubman Series came back to the larger track at the Cotswolds. Having a break from the Clubmans for a year, everyone was excited to turn up there motors and see how fast there cars really go with speeds hitting almost 50mph at three points on the track. Round 1 of qualifying started on the Sunday with the sun coming in early and strong with little wind. The track was cleaned up on Saturday during practice but the grass was damp on the morning challenging drivers to stay on the track. In 17.5, Dominic Skinner set provisional TQ just half a second ahead of Gavin Clinch. In 13.5 Chris Gunter topping the time sheet showing his confidence on this fast track with Chris Kerswell behind him by just under a second.
Round 2, showed the grip coming up. In 17.5, Gavin Clinch showing what he can do on this track now setting TQ by over 3 seconds with Dominic behind and Darren Tickner just behind him. In 13.5, Chris Gunter staying at the top again with Chris Kerswell behind him.
Round 3 came around with the track getter even faster with drivers setting unbelieveable pace. In 17.5 Gavin Clinch going another 2 seconds faster and got FTQ with Dominic trying his best to beat Gavin but setting a faster time but settled for second in the end going into the finals to catch up. In 13.5, Chris Kerswell cranking up the speed and setting FTQ going faster than Chris Gunter which settled for second but only a second behind looking to battle again in the finals..

In the A-final of the 13.5 class, Chris Kerswell and Chris Gunter expected to battle it out to the end with them leading all day. Chris Kerswell keeping his lead by winning both finals, however Chris Gunter came into problems finishing 6th in the first final and Matt Quinlisk came into the picture and claimed second with Mark Giaquinto coming in third.
In the A final of the 17.5 temperatures stayed the same with the grip just settling waiting for the battles to comence. Gavin Clinch keeping his lead by winning both finals and keeping his lead over Dominic Skinner which came 2nd. Darren Tickner completed the podium in 3rd.
