Xray On-road GP Italy – Report

The Italian Xray On-road Grand Prix was held at the Gimar Speed Park in Lazzaro last weekend. Nearly 60 drivers signed in for the event that was run in various classes including electric touring car modified, 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road and 1/5th large scale. In the touring car modified class, Alessio Menicucci TQ’d the event followed by Alessandro Brunelli and Martin Hudy. The 1/10th 200mm nitro class saw Biagio Spataro taking TQ from Alessio Mazzeo and Davide Stefanizzi.

The electric touring car finals then had Alessio taking a comfortable win as he won every of the final legs. After a tight fight Martin Hudy claimed the runner-up spot from Alessandro Brunelli who completed the all-Xray podium.

In the highly competitive 1/10th 200mm nitro class Spataro was leading from the start to the last two laps when a mechanical problem forced him to hand the first place to Mario Spiniello who was driving a very smooth final. Biagio ultimately came in 2nd while Giuseppe Musolino completed the top 3 result.
