Hidetoshi Mitsusada wins at Speed King Tour Rd5

The Kazuki Endo presented 2014 Speed King Tour stopped at the Rajiten Nagoya indoor tarmac track for the 5th round of this year’s championship. Although current series points leader Akio Sobue and last year’s Speed King Yugo Nagashima were absent this event, a lot of Japanese top drivers attended to grab as much points as possible. Full scale race car driver Hidetoshi Mitsusada showed during the qualifying heats that he is also good at 1/10th scale racing as he won all three qualifying rounds to take the overall TQ in the Modified class with his Yokomo BD7 2014. Junichi Kutsuna came in 2nd and JMRCA 1/10th EP Touring Expert class champion Yusuke Goto rounded out the top 3.


After Yuichi Anahara took the win in the Stock class A-main, the Modified class final got underway. Mistusada was able to keep his speed also in the final to make it a perfect sweep at round 5. In 2nd place Satoshi Bando finished the race in front of Masaki Kiyoi who completed the podium. The next round of the series will be held at the Crest Speedway in the Gunma prefecture on the 2nd of November. Akio Sobue is on the way to snatch the overall championship but Yugo Nakashima still is in the position to defend his title.
