Jesse Munn TQ’s & wins at ROAR Region 11 champs

The 2014 ROAR Region 11 1/8 Championships were held at Skagit River Raceway in Burlington, WA. The 1-day event saw practice rounds early in the morning followed by 3 rounds of qualifying and triple A-mains for the E-buggy class. Jesse Munn (Kyosho) managed to get the overall TQ with a clean 2nd round run by just 4 tenths of a second over the TLR of Jonathon Cantrell. Mike Dana would qualify 3rd with his Tekno and Shon Serles 4th with his Kyosho.

A1 did not go great for the pole-sitter as Jesse would make a couple of early mistakes and had to settle for 3rd behind Cantrell and Mike Dana. A2 was a great race as Cantrell and Munn swapped the lead back and forth for the first few minutes before Munn finally stretched out a small lead late in the race to take the win. The decisive A3 was very close as well with Cantrell right on Munn’s bumper for the first half of the race. Jesse then was able to stretch a bit of a lead late in this race as well to take a wire to wire win and claim the championship. Jonathan Cantrell finally ended in 2nd place while Mika Dana completed the top 3 result with Mike Hudson and Shon Serles rounding out the top 5.
