The French Cup for 1/10th electric off-road buggies was held last weekend by the Montbrison club with around 100 drivers in attendance. Qualifying both in the 2WD and 4WD category was dominated by the Xray trio of Mathieu Briere, Valentin Peuziat and Lorenzo Crolla as Mathieu took the TQ in both classes with Valentin coming in 2nd in 2WD and 3rd in 4WD while Lorenzo put his car on the 3 spot in 2WD and on the 2 spot in 4WD. In the 2WD A-main Mathieu secured himself the overall win early by taking A1 and A2 in style while Lorenzo grabbed the runner-up spot by winning the final A-main. Valentin had some troubles in the finals and had to make way for Julian Ferrandis in 3rd.
In 4WD it was again Mathieu who came out successful although he had some bobbles in the opening main, allowing Lorenzo to take the win from Valentin, who ended A1 in 2nd place. To iron out his performance in the opening main Mathieu took the win in the second and third A-final in order to make for a double victory. Lorenzo finally grabbed the runner-up spot while Valentin rounded out the top 3.
