Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

The traditional Christmas race of the Mibosport Cup 2014/2015 took place at the Hotel-Sport in Hrotovice on the 3rd of January 2015. 189 participants was new record of series, when 107 drivers attended the on-road classes with 39 drivers in Touring Car Modified, 49 in Stock LRP, 9 in Formula and 10 drivers in the 1/12th scale class. The off-road classes attracted a total of 82 drivers with 47 drivers participating in 2WD Buggy and 35 drivers in 4WD Buggy.

The first qualy heat in the Touring Car Modified won Kuba Šimurda, the next two heats were won by Jiří Vyšín who was the only one to get under 5:07 and took the TQ with 24 laps and time of 5:06.611. Kuba Šimurda took the second place on the grid with Michal Orlowski starting behind him. As all the three A-mains were very balanced and the drivers didn’t make any mistakes and didn’t allow their rivals to overtake, Jiří Vyšín won all the three A-mains in the start-finish style. Kuba Šimurda finished second three times with Michal Orlowski, Radek Flek and Michael Krammer always behind. The overall win then went to Jiří Vyšín ahead of Kuba Šimurda and Michal Orlowski.

Final B was won by Philipp Neudinger, final C by Martin Bábovský st. and final D by Jiří Kolman.

Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

The qualifying for the Stock LRP class was very balanced too as the Top10 drivers qualified in less than 9 seconds. The fastest man in qualifying was a German driver Dominik Zeidler (22 laps, 5:04.706) who beat Pawel Staszewski and Jaroslav Kopecký with a gap of 2 seconds. Dominik Zeidler won all three A-mains in the start-finish style. In the fist two A-mains, Pawel Staszewski finished second ahead of Jaroslav Kopecký. In the 17th lap of the third A-main, Pawel made a mistake allowing Jaroslav to move up to second place, who managed to keep it till the end of the final. Third finished Aleš Pelikán. Overall win went to Dominik Zeidler with Pawel Staszewski and Jaroslav Kopecký completing the podium.

Final B was won by Robert Patrzek, final C by Markéta Vítámvásová, final D by Andreas Ebner and final E by Jan Komorous.

Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

It was Vítězslav Hola who took the TQ in the Formula class ahead of Sascha Klug. The difference between the best two qualifying laps was only 0.215s. Third place on the grid went to René Kölbel. Vítězslav was leading in the first final till the 10th lap, when he was passed by Sascha Klug. In 14th lap, René Kölbel managed to overtake Vítězslav and took the second place. The second final was similar. Vítězslav led but was overtaken by both the Austrian drivers. René even passed Sascha and took the victory in the second final. Vítězslav was leading till the 11th lap in the third final when he made a mistake and allowed René and Sascha to pass him. Sascha Klug won the third final ahead of René Kölbel. The overall win went then to Sascha Klug with René Kölbel and Vítězslav Hola behind.

Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

Kuba Šimurda dominated both the qualifying and the three finals in the 1/12th scale class. Kuba won the first two finals and therefore took the overall win. Second place in the first final went to Igor Lipták, third place to Jiří Tlustý. Martin Zvára, unfortunately, had to retire from both the first finals. Aleš Pelikán then took the second place behind Kuba Šimurda in the second final with Igor Lipták finishing on the third place. Kuba didn’t attend the third final allowing Martin Zvára to win with Igor Lipták and Aleš Pelikán behind. The overall win went to Kuba Šimurda with Igor Lipták and Aleš Pelikán completing the podium.

Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

Michal Orlowski absolutely dominated the qualifying of the 2WD Buggy class improving his time heat by heat. Second place on the grid went to Marcel Rekettye, third to Kája Novotný. The Polish driver, Michal Orlowski, dominated even the finals when he won all the three A-mains in the start-finish style. In the first A-main, Marcel Rekettye finished second ahead of Radek Flek who fought his way throught the field after a mistake, which dropped him to the 10th place. In the second final, Martin Kreil managed to get to the second position behind Michal Orlowski and ahead Kája Novotný. Jakob Zündel finished the third A-main in the second position following Michal Orlowski in the first position. Third finished Roland Hauleitner. The overall win therefore went to Michal Orlowski, second finished Marcel Rekettye ahead of Kája Novotný.

Final B was won by Martin Fischer, final C by Wojciech Rzepecki, final D by Thomas Grainer and final E by Radek Varhaník.

Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

Kája Novotný took the TQ in the 4WD Buggy class after winning all the three qualy heats. Marcel Rekettye managed to get in front of Kája Novotný in the fourth lap of the first A-main and led almost to the end of the final. Then he made a few mistakes and had to leave the first place to Kája. Third finished Erik Margony. Kája made a mistake in the beginning of the second A-main and let Maximilian Hauenschild to take the lead. Kája showed his experience and after a few laps he was back in the first position. Maximilian Hauenschild finished second ahead of Marcel Rekettye. The third A-main was more relaxing for Kája Novotný and he took the win with a comfortable gap. There was a very nice battle for the second position between Adam Janovič and Erik Margony changing positions several times. In the last lap, Adam overtook Erik and took the second place in the end. The overall win went to Kája Novotný with Marcel Rekettye and Erik Margony completing the podium.

Final B was won by Aleš Bidovský, final C by Matěj Šulc and final D by Jan Komorous.
