2015 Futaba Cup Thailand – Report

The first Futaba Cup was held at the FRC racing circuit in Bangkok, Thailand in several electric on-road classes including Touring Car Open 13.5T and Formula. In Open Brushless 13.5T Atsushi Hara (Yokomo) took the win from Tanit K. (Team Associated) and Natee T (Xray).

Open Brushless 13.5T final result:

The Formula class with 11 drivers in attendance was TQ’d by Xray driver Joe S. who also went on to win the opening final. In the second leg the pole sitter ran into trouble and he only finished 5th while Smithi P. grabbed the winning honours but it was Suwich V., coming from 6th on the grid, who took the overall win with two solid 2nd place finishes. Smithi P. came in 2nd overall for a Xray 1-2 while Kittichai P. rounded out the podium in 3rd.

In the Under 14 years Junior class Chaiyasith P. took the TQ, but in first final he made a mistake as he collided with Veerapat T. and finish 3rd with a damaged car. Up front Tawas V. took the win with a big margin in first final and he manage to come in 2nd in the second final to take the overall win. Sky V. took the runner-up spot while Chaiyasith P. rounded out the all-Xray podium.
