Daniel Kobbevik sweeps JConcepts Challenge Rd4

Round 4 of the Norwegian JConcepts Challenge was held at Mustit RC Raceway in the usual classes of 1/10th Electric Off-road and 1/8th Light Buggy. Saturday started with 1/8th Light Buggy, 2WD Buggy and 2WD Truck, and after 3 rounds of qualifying it was Oyvind Fast Olsen who sat on TQ position in the 1/8th class while in 2WD Buggy it was Joakim Nicolaysen who grabbed the pole position. In 2WD Truck it was Daniel Kobbevik who was the fastest driver after the qualifiers.

In the 2WD Buggy finals Joakim Nikolaysen (Team Associated) started from TQ, but Daniel Kobbevik (Team Associated), coming from the 2nd position, shifted into 2nd gear with his carpet-setup B5M to take wins in the first two finals and with it the overall win.

In 2WD Truck Daniel Kobbevik (Team Associated) started from pole position and he was in full control of the proceeding as he easily grabbed the win in A1 and A2 for the overall win. Jon Dahlbo (Team Associated) came in 2nd while Hans Revhaug (Team Associated) rounded out the top 3 result.

In 1/8th Light Buggy Oyvind Fast Olsen (Mugen) was the man to beat and with very few mistakes and a high confidence going into the finals Oyvind easily took A1 and A2 for the overall win in front off Mugen teammate Lars Erik Mo and Team Associated driver Atle Erlandsen.

On Sunday it was time for 4WD Buggy and 4WD Short Course. After 3 rounds of qualifying Joakim Nikolaysen (Team Associated) was sitting on top of the timing sheets in the Buggy class while Daniel Kobbevik took the TQ in 4WD Short Course. Come the finals, after two legs in each class it was Daniel again who proofed to be the fastest 1/10th driver of the weekend as he already secured the overall win in both classes with one final to go, making it a perfect sweep for the young Team Associated driver.
