Czech Xray Winter Series Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Czech Xray Winter Series was held in Kolin in several electric on-road and off-road classes. In Touring Modified Xray’s own Martin Hudy laid down a flawless performance with his biggest rivals being Jiri Vysin and Jiri Janousek and at the end this would also be the top 3 order. Karel and Martin Kratochvil rounded out the top 5 result.

The Touring Stock class was a done deal for Ales Pelikan who won the qualification and the main events, not giving any chance to anybody else. The runner-up spot belonged to Karel Kratochvil who also was without any real opponent to fight with. The third and final podium spot though saw a hard battle between Michal Kneys and Martin Kratochvil, but in the end, Michal was the faster of the two. On the fifth spot young Alex Tlusty scored a flawless result.

Ivo Trojan would come out successful in the Formula class in front of Martin Kucera and Richard Klik with Jiri Tehnik and Martin Minyuk completing the top 5.

The 2WD Buggy class saw the battle between Kaja Novotny and Martin Bayer who showed great driving and fights for the win. A wrong front tyre choice of Martin in the third A-main handed Kaja the win and with it the overall victory. Martin came in second in front of young and talented Max Götzel.

2WD Buggy final results:

In the 4WD class it was Martin Bayer who was showing great runs and he never looked back and took the win from young Milan Mudra who beat 3rd placed Frantisek Kalenda and fourth placed Max Götzl.

The Short Course class saw fights between all drivers and finally Petr Honza took the day’s win from Jan Havlicek and Frantisek Kalenda.
