Slovakia Cup Rd2 – Report

Round two of the Slovakia Cup was held at the Hudy Racing Arena with 85 drivers in attendance including the likes of Martin and Ales Bayer as well as Austria’s Martin Wollanka all of which looked for some last minute practice before last weekend’s second round of the 2015/16 EOS. Beside the 1/10th Buggy classes the event also offered a variety of electric on-road categories with the fastest of them, Touring Modified, attracted a total of 13 drivers. Xray’s Martin Hudy would bring home the win in front of David Nemcek (Xray) and Zdenko Kunak (Capricorn) with the letter two showing some entertaining fights during the finals.

Touring Stock 17.5 was the most attractive class of the weekend with 22 drivers fighting for the win. In the end young Oliver Havranek (Xray) grabbed the overall victory from Arkadiusz Smyk (Xray) and Tono Sloboda (Yokomo).

Seven drivers competed in Formula 21.5 and it was again Martin Hudy (Xray) who came out fastest in the finals. Andrej Vnucko (CRC) and Martin Vejmelka (Xray) rounded out the top 3 result.

The 1/12th scale category only attracted six drivers with Andrej Vnucko (CRC) taking the day’s win from the Xray duo of Tomas and Igor Liptak.

1/10th World GT also attracted a total of six drivers and it was Igor Liptak (Xray) who beat Andrej Vnucko (CRC) and Rudo Kadlecik (Xray).

In the Buggy classes Martin Bayer, Martin Wollanka and Ales Bayer (all Xray) made up the top 3 results in both 2WD and 4WD for an Xray sweep in the top 4 as Juraj Hudy completed the top 4 result of the 2WD class with Mian Mudra coming 4th in the 4WD class.
