The RC Landia track in Scandiano, Italy played host to the UISP Indoor Nationals with drivers attending in the three classes of Touring Modified, 10.5T and 13.5T. The event kicked off on Saturday with two rounds of controlled practice and two rounds of qualifying. On Sunday three more rounds of qualifying and the triple mains would be held. In the Touring Modified class, Alessio Menicucci took the TQ by winning three of the five qualifying rounds from Mattia Collina who placed his car on the 2 spot and Dario Balestri in third.
From the pole position Alessio then scored two popular wins in the first two A-mains to grab the overall title early. Alessio confirmed his qualifying performance by taking the runner-up spot from Dario Balestri in third.
In the Touring 10.5T class Luca Giovannoni would dominate the proceedings. By winning four of the five qualifying rounds he took an easy TQ from Samuele Romagnoli and Andrea Efficace. Th order would stay the same after the triple A-mains, handing Luca the 2016 title from Samuele and Andrea.
Finally in the popular 13.5T Blinky class, the fight for the pole position was on between drivers such as Davide Bertuzzi, Gabriele Berselli and Simone Alleotti. Davide would ultimately grab the overall TQ from Gabriele and Simone to start from pole position into the triple A-main events. In the finals Davide, Gabriele and Simone made for a great show with entertaining battles and it was top qualifier Davide Bertuzzi who snatched the overall title from Gabriele Berselli in second and Simone Alleotti in third.
