Bowie Ginting victorious at Indonesian EP Nats Rd1

The opening round of the Indonesian Electric On-road Nationals was held at the Progresif Circuit in Bandung, West Java with a total of 60 racers signed in for the three classes of Touring Open, FWD and Mini. In the Touring Open class the opening qualifier was TQed by Ronny Suwarto from Donnie Pangemanan and Bowie Ginting with the latter having the speed to TQ but a last lap incident with a backmarker costed him dearly. Q2 was a different affair with Bowie grabbing a dominant TQ, a lap ahead of runner-up Suwardi Suliandy. Another dominant showing in the final qualifier handed Bowie Ginting the overall TQ and the pole position for the A-mains from Ronnie Suwarto who would line up in second on the grid.

The opening A-main went pretty smoothly for Bowie who would take the win some 12 seconds ahead of Christian and Chandra. A2 then again saw Bowie coming out fastest with Christian and Suwardi in tow. With the overall win already secured Bowie used the third and final A-main to test a new bodyshell and once again he came out successful while also scoring the fastest lap of the day with a 12.636. Ronny and Suwardi would end the race in second and third. Overall Bowie Ginting (Serpent) would take the win from Chrisian Mamesah (Serpent) and Xray driver Ronny Suwarto.
