Alex Hagberg sweeps Hot Race Winter Shootout

Alexander Hagberg has ended the Hot Race Winter Shootout, held this past weekend at the RCLania facilities in Scandiano, Italy, on the highest step of both the Touring Modified and 1/12th scale podium. Team mate Marco Kaufmann would sideline Alexander on the Touring Modified podium as he had to settle for second despite putting much pressure on the Swede in the finals. The third and final podium spot went to Patrick Folman.

The Touring Stock class was a done deal for Edoardo Repetti who easily won all three A-main legs to grab the day’s win. Young Andrea Ghilotti did his best to follow and gained an amazing runner-up spot while Gabriele Berselli completed the podium result in third.

In the 1/12th scale class the finals were a pretty easy affair for Alexander who left team mate Dionys Stadler behind in second place. The podium was rounded out by veteran racer Khounmy Bui.

The Formula class was an all-Italian affair with Simone Brocca dominating the proceedings in front of Guido Ristori and Davide Rabitti. The next of the popular Hot Race events will be the annual Hot Race Beach Cup held in Riccione on the weekend of the 31st of July.
