Munn & Hadley win at Cabin Fever Indoor Supercross

The Pacific Northwest 1/8th racing season kicked off this past weekend in Lewiston, Idaho at the annual Cabin Fever race. This year’s event spanned 3 days with Friday being practice, Saturday three rounds of qualifying using your best two rounds in a qual point format and main events on Sunday – 30 minute nitro mains and triple A-Mains in electric. Drivers from Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Canada were all in attendance, itching to get racing after a long and wet winter up there with approximately 240 entries making for a very long but very fun weekend. In the Nitro Truggy class a great battle was on between Jesse Munn and Shane Pruegschat in round one with Shane getting Jesse on the last lap by 0.5 seconds. Jesse then would TQ rounds 2 and 3 to wrap up the overall TQ while Austin Azure would complete the top 3.

The 30 minute A-main then had Jesse chasing Shane and despite the engine of Munn’s truck running rich he was able to block the second place while still being in touch with Pruegschat. At the first set of pit stops Jesse’s pit crew took the extra couple of seconds to adjust the engine and from that moment on Jesse was on a mission and he took the lead a few minutes later and never looked back, eventually taking the win one lap ahead of Shane Pruegschat. Jade Russel would round out the top 3.
