Reno Savoya successful at French E-Buggy Nats Rd1

This past weekend the opening round of the French RCMBT 1/8th E-Buggy Nationals was held at the famous Montpellier track. In its fourth season the championship, that is put together by, regularly attracts the country’s fastest drivers such as Yannick Aigoin, Jerome Sartel and Reno Savoya and round 1 was no exception. Following controlled practice on Friday the event saw triple 10 minute qualifiers on Saturday and it was TLR’s Reno Savoya who would take the TQ by winning two of the three rounds. Only Yannick Aigoin denied Reno a clean sweep as the Xray driver grabbed the TQ in the final round by less then 1 second. The triple A-mains then were a done deal for Yannick who won the opening leg with a margin of 10 seconds from Yannick Aigoin and Carl Maignien. In A2 it was again Reno who came out fastest, wrapping up the overall win with one leg to spare. Behind Sayova it was again the duo of Aigoin and Maignien who came in second and third. The third and final A-main then was won by Jerome Sartel from Yannick to grab the final podium spot.
