Slovakia Cup Rd5 – Report

The fifth round of the Slovakia Cup was held at the iconic Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin. The event saw the running of several electric on-road and off-road classes and it not only attracted some of the country’s fastest drivers but also guests from Austria and Germany. The Touring Modified class was won by Xray’s own Martin Hudy from team mate Patrick Gollner. Capricorn driver Zdeno Kunak rounded out the top 3 after the A-mains.

The Touring Stock class had young Oliver Havranek (Xray) coming out fastest from Arkadiusz Smyk (Xray) and Nico Haider (Xray). Tono Sloboda (Yokomo) and Michal Wojcik rounded out the top 5.

In the Formula class Jan Ratheisky and Martin Hudy battled for the win. Jan got the TQ after the qualifiers and he held onto that position in the finals despite a storming Martin who had to settle for second in the end. Vit Parak rounded out the top 3 podium sweep for Xray.

In the 1/10th pan car category Igor Liptak took the day’s win from Rudo Kadlecik and Pavol Chovan in second and third respectively. Vladimir Viskup and Miro Hargas rounded out the top 5.

In the 2WD Buggy class it was Austria’s Martin Wollanka who grabbed the day’s win from Xray team mate Ales Bayer. Schumacher driver Peter Pinisch had to settle for third in front of Ronald Hauleitner and Thomas Pumpler (Yokomo).
