Slovakia Cup Rd6 – Report

The sixth and final round of the Slovakia Cup was held at the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin over the weekend. The event saw the running of several electric on-road and off-road classes and it had Martin Hudy taking the TQ and win in the Touring Modified class from Austria’s Martin Wollanka in second and Patrick Gollner in third. In the overall championship Martin Hudy took the title from Zdenko Kunak and Oliver Havranek.

In the Touring Stock 17.5T A-main top qualifier Nico Haider would take the day’s win from Tono Sloboda and Oliver Havranek. As for the championship, young Oliver Havranek came out successful from Tono Sloboda and Bratislav Panak.

The Formula class A-final saw top qualifier Martin Hudy coming out fastest from Tono Sloboda and Nico Haider in second and third respectively. The overall championship result also had Martin Hudy climbing the highest step of the podium with Andrej Vnucko snatching the vice-championship title from Martin Vejmelka.

In the Stock 1/12th scale class Tomas Liptak started the A-main from pole position and he would also take the day’s win from Andrej Vnucko in second and Branislav Panak in third. Overall in the championship Tomas would take the title from Andrej Vnucko and Vladimir Viskup.

The 2WD Buggy A-final was a done deal for TQ holder Kaja Novotny who ended the day in front of Juraj Hudy in second and Ales Bidovaky in third. As for the championship it was Juraj Hudy who took the title honours from Michal Nagy and Igor Liptak.

Finally in the 4WD Buggy category it was again Kaja who came out fastest from Juraj and Ales but the overall championship was again wrapped up by Juraj Hudy. Roman Pavlus and Jarda Valder completed the podium result.
