Elias Johansson wins at Swedish National Cup Rd2

This past weekend round two of the Swedish National Cup was held at the nicely prepared “1990’s style” Örebro track. In 4WD Buggy Alexander Landén would take the overall TQ thanks to round TQs in the first and second qualifier, backing the results up with a second and a third place. The opening final then was quite eventful with some tough racing and Alexander was involved in an incident in the beginning of the final, but he recovered to take over the lead again only to get caught out by a rut which flipped the car with less than a minute to go. Alexander eventually finished fourth while the win grabbed by swift Elias Johansson.

The second final followed pretty much the same pattern as a group of cars broke away from the field. Again Elias drove really well and was able to capitalise of the usual pile-ups to take the overall win, while Alexander again rolled over the line in fourth place. In the last leg the TQ holder had to make a first place finish to save a podium spot and Alexander was able to go out and deliver, as he secured a win in the last leg to walk away with a third place overall. In front of him Daniel Kobbevik would take the runner-up spot with Elias Johansson taking the day’s win.
