Exotek D216 HD idler gear, Flite top gear & top shaft

Coming from Exotek and made for the HB Racing D216 are a HD idler gear, top gear and top shaft, all made of 7075 alloy. Starting with the idler gear, the part is machined from aircraft-grade aluminium and it improves durability when using high-power motors. The stronger material also prevents the gear from deforming, resulting in improved diff gear life compared to running the stock nylon part. Furthermore the gear is machined for lightness and it comes with smaller 5x10mm bearings for reduced mass.

Next up is the Flite top gear for the D216. It is machined from lightweight 7075 alloy for reduced rotational mass and a lower centre of gravity compared to the stock steel part. As for the exact numbers, the alloy part weighs in at 1.8g compared to the stock steel gear that weighs in at 4.5g. Finally there is the Flite top shaft for HB Racing’s 2WD buggy. The part is machined from 7075 alloy and it weighs in at 1.7g compared to the stock 4.6g. Like Exotek’s alloy top gear the part reduces rotational mass, improving acceleration especially in stock classes while also lowering the overall centre of gravity.
