Italian company BMT have introduced their all-new 701 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. The car is based on a 7075-T6 aluminium chassis whose design ensures equal torque flex characteristics left to right and it utilises lightweight transmission parts, including a small and ultra low weight 2-speed assembly, for reduced rotational masses and thus improved acceleration and braking. For reliability reasons both the front and rear differential come with high-quality steel gears, greatly improving durability especially on high-grip surfaces. The chassis is topped off by a 2mm carbon fibre top plate that uses fuel tank quick releases, a 1-piece servo support and a flex system with bushings. The included radio box can be used or even left away to further scrub weight.
The suspension is of a quick-adjust type to allow for swift and easy geometry adjustments, all plastics are made of hard compound material to ensure maximum performance and durability and they are usable on both the left and right hand side to reduce the amount of parts to carry as spares. As for the anti-roll bars the 701 features modern wire swaybars although a classic blade-type front anti-roll bar is available as an optional part. From stock the kit includes a range of option parts such as carbon wheel hub aero discs, as well as 7075 Ergal parts such as the brake lever, radio plate support, and front bar support.
