Claus Ryeskov takes Danish 200mm title

The final round of the Danish 1/10th 200mm Nitro On-road Championship was held in Greve. With the championship title already decided some drivers opted not to attend but veteran racer, Thomas Mortensen decided to participate and he instantly was in a fight with Claus Ryeskov for the overall TQ. Thomas pulled some very swift laps but ultimately the TQ went to Claus who was more consistent in terms of lap times.

In the main final Claus jumped into the lead at the tone but in the opening stages Thomas as able to get by and with the two being on different tyre strategies things became interesting. Unfortunately at about the 20-minute mark, Thomas made two mistakes, promoting Claus into the lead and since Thomas’s softer tyres were already pretty worn he had to slow down and to settle for second place while Claus, on harder tyres, was able to cruise to the win. The third place went to Rene Kjellerup, also on softer tyres. Overall in the championship Claus Ryeskov brought home the title from Rene Kjellerup and Tom Limkilde.
