Avid A800 hard aluminium chassis & CF bumper brace

Made for Awesomatix’s A800 belt-driven touring car are Avid’s new hard-anodised aluminium chassis and a carbon fibre bumper brace. Starting with the chassis, the part is machined from aircraft-grade 2mm 7075-T6 aluminium and it offers strategically machined sections to optimise the flex characteristics. By widening the inner pivot points by 0.5mm on each side the car will also be wider, giving more confidence when driving the car harder. Avid have also brought back the optional battery position to move the battery back 6mm to increase the car’s rotation. The chassis is recommended for medium to high-bite conditions and it comes in a bright gun metal colour and with machined edge details.

Also new and made for the A800 is the carbon fibre bumper brace. Recommended especially when running aluminium chassis, the brace makes for extra protection in the event of a crash. Included in the set are the machined carbon bumper brace, black aluminium posts, black aluminium counter sunk washers and two stainless steel flathead screws.
