Bruno Coelho & Jan Ratheisky win at 2016 IIC

The International Indoor Championships were held last weekend with about 400 entries in seven classes. With six world champions and some of the country’s fastest drivers in attendance the Las Vegas based event once again was one for the history books. In the Touring Modified class 2016 vice world champion, Bruno Coelho would take the TQ in dominant fashion and he would also come out on top of the proceedings after the single A-main event in which he would leave newly-crowned world champion, Ronald Völker behind in second place.

The Formula class saw Germany’s Jan Ratheisky, who “only” ran four classes at the 2016 event, taking the winning honours from runner-up, Martin Hudy and third placed Mario Ficco. In the Touring Super Stock class it was again Jan who came out fastest. After being chased by Keven Hebert for most of the race with the latter traction rolling and making way for Mike Gee in second Jan was able to cruise to the win. The 17.5T class was then in turn won by Mike Gee who left Jan behind in second as the German wasn’t able to keep up with Mike’s blistering fast pace.
