Pro-Line 1/8 ElectroShot & 1/10 Positron tyres

Pro-Line 1/8 ElectroShot & 1/10 Positron tyres

Pro-Line have introduced the new ElectroShot 1/8th buggy and Positron 1/10th 2.2″ buggy rear tyres. Starting with the 1/8th scale offering, the ElectroShot made a first public appearance at this year’s IFMAR 1/8th Gas Buggy World Championships in Las Vegas. Coming from the mind of Ty Tessmann and designed to perform just like a HoleShot 2.0 while lasting significantly longer, the ElectroShot is combination of Pro-Line’s Electron and HoleShot tread designs with connected bars in the center where the heaviest tyre wear occurs. Connected bar-type tyres like Pro-Line’s new Positron have become the new standard for 1/10th buggy race tyres but pins are still the king of the 1:8 Off-Road. The ElectroShot begins to bridge that gap and test the waters with a hybrid Bar and Pin tyre. The ElectroShot will become available in a range of compounds including X2, X3, M3 and M4 and it includes blue closed cell inserts.

Swinging over to the Positron 2.2″ buggy rear tyre, the all-new design features a redesigned carcass shape and futuristic directional tread design for improved grip and corner speed on indoor clay tracks. The tread design pays homage to the Electron and Ion tyre before it with the two center pins boxed in by connected bars for a familiar Pro-Line signature look. From there the connected bars shoot off at angles that have been specifically designed to provide maximum forward bite combined with exceptional corner speed all while offering great tread life. The Positron is directional, which adds another tuning option for the racers always looking for that extra edge since it will perform differently depending on which direction it is run. The tyre is available in M4 super soft and MC clay compound including blue closed cell inserts.
