Seta doubles at East Touring Series opener

The opening round of the East Touring Series was held at Sunter Speedway, Jakarta, under a cloudy sky with a light rain poured during the race. The event was held in several classes including the premier Touring Modified and Open Mini classes and in TC Mod it was Muhammad Izzah who snatched the TQ spot followed by Arya and Yusuf Zulkarnaen. Bowie Ginting suffered from a lot of issues in the qualifiers and only qualified in fourth. In the Open Mini class it was Arya who took the top qualifying position in dominant fashion.

In the opening Touring Modified A-main Izzah took a convincing win in front of Arya while Bowie had more rear diff issues. A2 was a bit more entertaining for everyone as Arya chased Izzah right from the start until Izzah had to pull out with a broken transponder, handing Arya the lead by about four seconds from Bowie as the latter tried to recover from a collision in the opening stages. Ultimately Arya would bring home the win from Bowie and Peter. A3 would bring the decision between Arya, Izzah and Bowie and the latter had a clean start and instantly started to chase Izzah. Ginting was able to get past the leader on the second lap while later in the race Arya also found a way past Izzah. Arya than also chased after Bowie but Ginting was able to bring home a 1.5s lead so Arya and Bowie ended tie on points but the better tie-breaker handed Arya the win from Bowie and Muhammad.

In the Open Mini class Arya Seta brought home the win from Senopatih Negara and 11 years old Ridhwan Sutedja.
