JConcepts Finnisher MBX-7TR body & XB2 gear shield

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher body shell for the Mugen MBX-7TR as well as a 3-D-printed gear shield for laydown transmission equipped Xray XB2 buggies. Starting with the body, the popular and ROAR nationals winning Finnisher design is now also available for Mugen’s MBX-7TR truck. The slight cab forward design with a raked windshield makes the truck stand out as does the large centre fin which adds stability at high speeds. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum performance the included champion rear name plates provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.

Made for Xray XB2 buggies with 3-gear laydown transmission is JConcepts’ new 3-D-printed gear shield. The protection device covers the spur gear while also shielding the body from unwanted scratches and rubs associated with normal driving use and wear and tear during a typical race outing. The shield slides directly on the Xray 3-gear transmission case and aligns with the stock geometry while the motor plate installs just over the gear shield and is positioned as normal. The item is designed for a maximum spur gear size of 81, works best with JConcepts’s S2 and F2 bodies and it is available through JConcepts’ Shapeways store here.
