Vision Racing T5M & SC5M “laydown” rear shock tower

Vision Racing have introduced a special rear shock tower for the Team Associated T5M and SC5M trucks that allows to run the B6-series laydown transmission in both. The tower is cut from high-quality 4mm quasi-directional carbon fibre and its design allows to convert the older T5M and SC5M to utilise a modern laydown gearbox with minimal modifications.

Team Associated B64 Team Kit 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

Team Associated have introduced the B64 Team Kit 1/10th scale 4WD kit. Sharing the design as well as most features with the already released B64D buggy, the B64 is aimed towards racing on medium to high-bite surfaces, excelling on high-traction surfaces with the buggy’s adjustable axle height and roll centres result in a stable yet nimble platform. With a new and improved centre slipper using Low Coefficient Friction LCF pads, the B64 rewards the driver with maximum drive out of all four wheels on artificial turf and carpet surfaces. Other features include V2 12mm big bore shock absorbers, front and rear anti-roll bars, strengthened front and rear suspension with hard anodised caster blocks and carbon fibre shock towers as well as a Team Associated bodyshell and a JConcepts-made screw-on rear wing.

Samix SCX10 II aluminium rear bumper mount

Samix have introduced an aluminium rear bumper mount for the Axial SCX10 II truck. The part is machined from high-quality aluminium and it improves the overall rigidity and durability of the main frame while adding a splash of colour as the part is available in green, gun metal and black anodising. Machined silver edges and white Samix logo round out the visual appearance.

110% Racing steel Pipe Clamps

110% Racing, the brand of 2014 IFMAR 1/8th Buggy World Champion, Ty Tessmann has released the Pipe Clamps. Designed to securely lock nitro engine exhaust pipes in place, the parts are machined from steel to ensure the clamps stay tight whereas the standard combination of aluminium pipe and steel set screw has the tendency to work loose during long runs. The set includes two pipe clamps, one for below and one for above the pipe.

Yardy & Williams wrap up Silverstone Winter Series titles

The Silverstone Winter Series concluded with wins for Tom Yardy in 2WD, Paul Crompton in 4WD, and Richard Miller in the Truck class. Tom Yardy also secured the 2WD series win from team mates Charlie Ware in 2nd and Jack Neal in 3rd while Greg Williams wrapped up the 4WD series win ahead of Matt Dodd and Felix de Hamel.

Dakotah Phend doubles at inaugural Desert Classic

The 1st annual Desert Classic race was held this past weekend at Hobby Action RC Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. TLR’s Dakotah Phend would take the TQ in the 2WD Modified Buggy class and he also brought home the win after coming out fastest in A1 and A2, leaving Yokomo’s Ryan Maifield and Xray’s Ty Tessmann behind in second and third respectively. In the 2WD Modified SC class it was again Dakotah who excelled, bringing home the TQ and win from Ryan Maifield in second and Spencer Rivkin third.

WRC Pro3 1/10th Le Mans pan car bodyshell

Italian company WRC have introduced the Pro3 bodyshell for their LM16 1/10th pan car kit. Resembling the Le Mans prototype cars the body is the third in the line of WRC’s Pro bodies all of which feature different nose, front fender, side pods and rear fender designs. The body is a direct for on WRC’s LM16 kit but it also fits other pan cars and also converted formula chassis.

California Touring Series Rd2 – Report

Round two of the California Touring Series was held at RoadRunners RC Club in Camarillo, California this past weekend hosting 100 entries. In the end, it was the same winners from round 1 who were victorious. In the Modified division, it was Team Associated driver Rick Hohwart who came out on top with TQ honors and win followed by Eric Albano (Yokomo) and EJ Evans (TOP Racing).
