2017 Xray Racing Series finale – Report

The season ending race and grand final of the 2017 Xray Racing Series was held at the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin this past weekend. The weather was good all days despite a not-so-brilliant forecast, making for excellent racing conditions for the several electric and nitro on-road classes. In the premier electric category, Touring Modified, Xray’s Alexander Hagberg brought home the win from IYRCA World Champion, Oliver Havranek while Patrick Gollner rounded out the podium in 3rd.

In Touring Stock 13.5T it was again Oliver Havranek who scored a podium result, this time on the highest step after taking the win from Rene Kolbel and Filip Obora.

Swinging over to the nitro categories and in 1/8th on-road it was Xray’s own Juraj Hudy who scored the win from Hartmut Rose 2nd and local star Tomas Lipták.

1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring saw former IFMAR World Champion, Alexander Hagberg taking a popular win from Juraj Hudy on the runner-up spot. Michal Abrahámek would round out the podium in 3rd.

Last but not least it was Simon Cermak who grabbed the most trophies and became the best junior driver of XRS Grand Final 2017.
